It was officially opened in its current configuration in 2007. The arena boasts the third-highest seating capacity of any indoor venue in the UK, following Co-op Live and Manchester Arena. In 2008, it earned the title of the world's busiest music arena. As of 2022, it ranks as the ninth-largest building in the world by volume, with a diameter of 365 meters (399 yards) and a height of 52 meters (57 yards).
